2nd Amendment
I would like to take this election time while there are so many feelings, emotions, and opinions scattered in the air to share a few of mine on an important matter and hopefully you don’t just read it and think I’m a freak, but that you read it and realize what many people chose to just avoid thinking about. I want all who read this post to sit and think for a minute about each and every one of their loved ones and what they mean to you. Now I would like you to think to what level would you go to protect those individuals? Most of you are probably thinking that you would give your own life to save theirs. Am I right? But perhaps some of you are like many others who would not only give their own life to protect loved ones from harm, but would be willing to defend them to the bitter end. Even if it meant to take a life. But how might one defend themselves and their loved ones against a person or persons who have every intention to do you harm? This is why the founders of our great country saw fit to create the 2nd Amendment. To give all law abiding citizens the right to keep and bear arms. Many people say “Why?” “Why do you need a gun?” Some people even make a mockery of those who do bear arms by saying things like “What, are people out to get you or something?” The truth is this world is constantly changing and many times, in many ways for the worse. It’s not that people are out to get you, it’s that unknown that you are just trying to be prepared for. When people have asked me “Why”, I simply tell them “You never know when or where something terrible is going to happen.” Look at the trolley square incident. Yeah the guy that shot that kid may have been a cop, but he wasn’t on duty. At that point he left his house that night prepared for the unknown. Had he not, who knows how many more lives would’ve been lost. That is one situation that nobody planned on experiencing when they went out that night. What about in the comfort of your own home? You can still prepare for that unknown. Not too long ago in Orem there was an incident where a couple of guys broke into a house at 2:00 in the morning and beat some of the family members with a baseball bat. They were then taken and tied up in their own living room as these individuals robbed them. Now had the head of this household been prepared for that unknown, perhaps things would have had a different outcome.
These are just two examples for you to think about when you evaluate whether or not you want to vote for someone who wants to make it increasingly difficult to prepare yourselves for these unknowns. Firearms make many people nervous, I understand that. But I think most of that nervous tension comes from being unfamiliar with them. The more you learn about them andthe more you are around them, the more respect you will have for them andin most cases that will make you become more comfortable around them. Statistics will prove that the number of people buying and even carrying guns is increasing rapidly, and the number of accidental shootings is actually decreasing. I think this is because more people are becoming more familiar with them and taking the correct precautions in their preparations for those unkowns.
I’m not telling you to go out and buy a gun if you are uncomfortable with them. In fact, if that is the case, I would actually urge you NOT to go out and buy one. But I would encourage you to take the time to learn about them. Maybe even sit in on a class where you can learn about them and under safe direction maybe even shoot one. Then once you have learned more about them and gained a greater respect for them instead of having such a fearof them, maybe you will have different opinions of them and the people who keep and bear them. And perhaps even get one for yourself to protect you and your loved ones from the unkowns in our lives.
In conclusion, it is wrong and unconstitutional for anyone to think that they can come in as a president of this great country and try in whatever ways he can to make it impossible for Americans to keep and bear arms for the protection and safety of themselves and those around them.

You Can Thank My Brother…..
Pretty much thank Dave for the creation of this blog page. Or as you would know him on wordpress, dertydave. I gave him crap about starting a blog page but as I read his I actually thought it would be a cool idea to start one. It allows people to keep in touch and share deep thought without having to see them. LOL. My real intentions for this blog is for it to be not just for me to vent to, but for a way to share updates of life in my family. And by my family I do mean mine as in Josie, Cletus (the fetus), and I. On that note, to all that don’t already know, we are meeting with the doctor next week on Nov. 6th to finally find out what we are having. I would tell you all the names that we have decided on for each, if it’s a boy or a girl, but as history would tell that hasn’t worked out so well for me in sharing names that I like and people not using them. Or in some cases even when I don’t share them. Apparently I just have a nitch for coming up with names fit for royalty. So Jo and I will try and keep everyone updated, but if we don’t get a hold of you, you can always check here for the scoop. Seeing as how I’m at work right now I’m gonna have to continue this later.
